So what is 'Curation Mastermind' all about?
Curation Mastermind explains the way in which we pull relevant content together from various sources and use that content as a guide for articles on our own blogs by means of content curation. There are many different ways people curate content, and there is actually no right or wrong way to do this, although there are DEFINITELY some ways that are a LOT better than others. This is just the way we do it. This way works for us! It’s what gets us results! Curation in a nutshell is: amassing content on a topic or niche, handpicking the best of the information we can find on our given subject, and using a selection of that content for our own blog. Before you say it ... Don't worry, YES this is completely legal! That was our first concern too but we're OK! Let me explain… The original source is ALWAYS quoted, with a link back to the original blog post or news article. Because of this, the blog is deemed as helping others by linking to useful content by the likes of Google and other search engines.

This is not to say you should just copy the whole post with a link back to the original, as this essentially then becomes just another auto blog! Get this into your head. THIS IS NOT AUTOBLOGGING!! I'll say it again: THIS IS NOT AUTOBLOGGING!!!! Auto blogging does not work (at least not as part of a long term sustainable income.) Straight ripped off duplicate content will most likely result in: a) ‘Flagging’ and de-indexing or results dropping of your website, which though on the one hand we're not relying on Google for traffic on the other hand why cut off this traffic source when there's no reason to? b) The person or organization you rip off being somewhere between mildly annoyed and seriously pissed off with you. Neither are good positions to be in if you're in this for the long term - and you should be. Yes, you read correctly that this method of curation does not rely on Google AT ALL (which is one of the really neat things about how we use curation) but we'll get to all that later. For now just understand that curation does not mean ripping off with copy and paste. So that's what it isn't. What about what it is? Ever heard the phrase "content is king"? Unless you've only been in the make money online world for 5 minutes or you've been living under a virtual rock, of course you have! While that phrase is still true there's a new challenger to the throne. "The future of content is context" (nope, we didn't say it first.) Curation is a contextually relevant conversation. Simply it's bringing together several relevant elements of content into a structured conversation in a central location.
